Over Reacting Media

Its not very often that you see Australia thrashed. India outplayed Australia in every department. Dhoni led India to its biggest victory against Australia in terms of runs. The young debutant Amit Mishra did quite enough that India never felt the absence of Anil Kumble at any part of the Game. On the other hand Kumble has been struggling for form and fitness. NO wonder the cries are far and loud. DHONI MUST REPLACE KUMBLE. At this point i get the feeling that the Indian media is overeacting.

M.S.Dhoni has been the man, ever since he led the young Indian squad to a world T20 victory. With in a short span of time he has led the side to various glorious and memorable victories, series down under, ODI series victory on a tough Sri Lankan tour to name a few. Shrewd, agressive, cool are some of the adjectives that could be used for Dhoni. No doubt Dhoni is a born leader. Dhoni does have a a100% win record in test WOW! But he has led India in jus 2 games, both at home. Dhoni is the future, still has some distantce to goto lead a test side on a consistent basis. But it is disheartening to see a person of Kumble's calibre being treated in such a rude manner by our media. One should look back at the Indian tour Down under. The manner in which Kumble lifted the spirits in the dressing room to win the perth Test, after they were robbed off a well earned draw in Sydney. In Sri Lanka. India came back strongly in Galle and after being thrashed in Colombo. A man with 616 wickets and a test century behind him must be treated in a better way. Kumble has answered his critics time and again with his performance thorugh out his career, and there is no doubt he will do the same in Kotla Test. His shoulder has been giving him trouble in the recent past. Once his shoulder is perfect, i have no doubt tha Kumble has in him to play atleast one year of cricket in the highest level both as captain and a bowler. He is true Legand of Indian cricket. Let us start to respect him, and stop over reacting.
